The Sacred Gift – Four Ideas to Build Your Intuition, Part III

The Intuitive Mind is a Sacred Gift;
the Rational Mind is a Faithful Servant
~ Albert Einstein

In PART I, we explored whether you are more intuitive or rational.  Each of us has strength in one or both areas. The key is how do you employ your intuition or logic to serve yourself and others? And how can you develop the side that might be hidden or weaker?  I shared my story of how I felt Intuitively Challenged until I trained to be a Hand Analyst.

In PART II, we assessed your level of balance in your life, by reviewing your Yin and Yang beings and doings on a daily basis. How far out of (or in) balance are you? What part of your day or week needs a dose of Yin or a dose of Yang? With a more balanced life that flows you are able to use your Sacred Gift and Faithful Servant to full potential.

This time I’ll share some ideas to help you discover, claim and grow your sacred gift of intuition. I have 4 ideas for you and would love to hear more from you.

The Four Ideas:

1. Learn about different ways of “knowing without knowing”

2. Notice, claim and practice which one you think might be your strength

3. Take the time to Dream while sleeping and while waking

4. Train with some experts in the Intuitive Arts

Here we go …..

1. Different ways of “knowing without knowing”

What is Intuition?

from Latin verb intueri which is usually translated as to look inside or to contemplate; flashes of illumination; ability to acquire knowledge without inference and/or the use of reason. A gut instinct or sudden insight. Carl Jung defined intuition as “perception via the unconscious”.

Are you more:

Clairvoyant – Clear seeing, See Auras, Take visual clues from the environment or person

Clairaudient – Clear hearing, Take in Sounds around you

Clairsentient – Clear sensing/feeling, Get emotional cues, are more Physical, Kinesthetic sensing

Clairtangent – Know through touch, get messages from a person’s body (a kind of Clairsentience)

Claircognizant – Clear knowing, get information, words, knowledge from flashes of insight that come to you/through you

Check out this informative site I found while putting this together. I like the way she describes the different ways we can Know without Logical/Rational Knowing

As I grow to trust my brand of intuition, I know that I am dominant in the Claircognizant (stories and words just come to me) and Clairsentient (felt sense from the body). How about you?

2. Notice, claim and practice which one you think might be your strength

Spend a few minutes each day reflecting on and perhaps writing down ways you just knew something. Begin to claim your special intuitive strength. Practice it, trust it and if you don’t already have an abundance of one or more of these listed above, you’ll be surprised at how it will grow inside of you. And if you are still not convinced, check out Idea #4 and get a little help.

Dreams develop intuition3. Take the time to Dream while sleeping and while waking

Do you keep a dream journal?  Do you go to sleep intending to dream?  If not, start today.  Our dream world is the source for our unconscious processes, the world of symbols and where we unhook from the rational, logical world.

Do you take the time during the day to just allow your self to receive – to just be?  This is about your waking dreams. This includes: guided imagery, sitting or walking or moving meditation, vision boards, voice toning, dancing, writing in a journal, writing poetry, free form creativity….You get the idea…ways to just be, to stop the chatter and to find channels for your intuitive self to flow and grow.

4. Train with some experts in the Intuitive Arts

One of my mottos is You Can Not Do It Alone. At times we just need a little help from our friends and from some wise folks who have gone before us. Are you interested in growing your Sacred Gift? Then I suggest you find someone to learn from.

Contact me for some ideas. And trust that you’ll find the right person to guide you to your special brand of intuition.

I hope that you have gained new insights from this three part series.  I would love to hear your thoughts and feelings.  AND PLEASE SHARE YOUR WISDOM so that I can pass it along.
